Timeless London Townhouse

The owners of this Edwardian townhouse had a clear vision for a warm and nurturing family home, combining timeless furniture with contemporary design. Natural organic materials, exceptional craftsmanship and longevity were central to the brief, with every room designed to support a young family and evolve with them over time. Working closely with the clients and their interior designer, our skilled team translated this vision into custom furniture for the open-plan kitchen diner with adjacent utility room, snug and bedroom.

To achieve a timeless, “unfitted” aesthetic the kitchen is composed of individual pieces of furniture, including an elegant cabinet with an arched pediment, echoing the curve of the Edwardian windows, housing the American-style fridge. The freestanding island, raised to reveal the floor beneath and enhance the sense of space, features handcrafted columns, arched finials and a honed Belgian Blue limestone surface rich with natural fossils. Recurring design details and bold yet muted colours continue throughout the home, creating cohesion, alongside natural timber, tactile fabrics and considered storage to bring warmth, character and enduring practicality.
