Tranquil Guernsey Home: Kitchen refurbishment

Our clients had lived in their beautiful 1840’s home in the tranquil lanes of Guernsey for 12 years before embarking on a major refurbishment and extension of the property. Naturally, there were many difficult decisions to be made but the kitchen was not one of them, as they had seen the kitchen of their dreams in a magazine some years earlier, tearing out the page as a keepsake.

Whilst inspired by one of our bespoke kitchens, everything about this Guernsey home is unique. The elegant kitchen, although spacious, feels calm and welcoming. Custom storage, including the walk-in pantry and wine room create order. The colour palette is kept soft and muted against the rich, dark wood floor. The commission also included a state-of-the-art utility room echoing the elegant, recessive kitchen furniture, and the luxury of bespoke his and hers dressing rooms.

As one would expect from our successful florist client, the decorative items and furnishings, comprising heritage pieces and antique market finds, serve to add the perfect finishing touches.
